There are three options, paying every month, paying once a year or a free trial. If you just want to see what it can do then you can try it out for 30 days for free. The registration form is longer than normal as you are creating a parents account as well as your child’s account. Creating a password is very annoying as it has to be very long, also the registration process can get very annoying, if you enter different passwords then you have to wait for what seems like a lifetime for a popup to appear to tell you the problem. It also takes a long time for the password strength indicators to change. Interestingly you are not asked for your date of birth, and there doesn’t seem to be any way of ensuring that only young girls are signing up. This could still lead to bullying and danger.

There is a free trial for the website which will last for 30 days, however after this you will have to pay for a membership if you want to continue using it. This will cost $4.99 per month, or $49.90 per year.

Girl Ambition is a fairly useful social networking site for young girls; it is quite a nice feature how parents are allowed to make sure that they are using the site properly and carefully. It’s also much safer than letting them use adult social networking sites.
